Wellington Harbour will light up to celebrate Guy Fawkes in the Pelorus Trust Wellington Sky Show. More than 150,000 spectators are expected to watch the annual Wellington fireworks display, and 30,000 will view it from the Wellington waterfront.

The fantastic free fireworks display starts at 9pm to a soundtrack broadcast on Classic Hits (90.1FM) and ZM (90.9FM).

The Sky Show lights up the skies for 12 minutes with fireworks condensed into a busy display.

Crowds are likely to again be treated to entertaining rides on the waterfront as a curtain raiser to the fireworks display with the Wellington Free Ambulance Waterfront Spectacle, the huge fundraising event for Wellington Free Ambulance. The action kicks off at 6pm in Frank Kitts Park and the public are invited to make a gold coin donation to the WFA.

For sheer spectacle, you can’t go past Wellington’s annual Pelorus Trust Sky Show fireworks display, held on Guy Fawkes night every year. The harbour lights up with giant star bursts, shooting rockets and other pyrotechnic wonders, and if you are near the waterfront you can feel the thunderous boom shake your body.
