St John's Heineken Hotel is fantastic. Grab a wine, sit out on the lawn and soak up the sunshine (when it's here) our else go on a friday night and unwind!

We arrived at this bar around 4 on a sunny Friday afternoon - the afterwork crowd were just starting to arrive and the place had a great atmosphere to it. A great spot for the afternoon sun with outside table service. Being a db bar this is comparable to others such as ones in Auckland however the location and set up is fantastic! There was an outside stoneleigh wine bar with dj's and live acoustic - with the sun, wine and music it was a great recipe. Great selection of beers and wines however I'd avoid the food and just appreciate the ambience and location.

nice spot in the sun for a drink but food was terrible we had a large table and our food was cold and meat was over done. Then only offered free tea and coffee when complained!!
would not recomend for dinner at all.

Brilliant spot, especially on sunny weekends - the sort of place where the location sells itself really. Sometimes hard to find room outside but I guess great minds think alike! Think the food can be a bit lacking at times, had the calamari last time I was there and found it a bit too oily for my liking.
