We dined at Osteria del Toro on a Sunday which is a Family Buffet day. under fives ate for free.

All the food was fantastic and the service was great. Very family friendly and the most impressive toilets I have ever seen in a restaurant.

Probably the only down side of Osteria del Toro was the price of drinks on-top of the meal, it would have been great to be able to buy a carafe of O.J for a set price.

If you like Paella head to Osteria del Toro on a Monday - great promotion that's well priced and incentive enough to get me out of the house on a cold Monday night!

Had heard mixed things about Osteria del Toro since re-locating to the capital so thought we'd give it a try last night with some friends who were returning back to Auckland after the holidays.
Good, authentic surroundings and friendly service - unfortunately the food didn't quite live up to our expectations.
We had the Potato Tortillas and Saganaki Cheese to start - the cheers was delicious, fried at our table - tasting like a toasted cheese sandwich without the bread!
As a main, I went for the Fatimas Lamb (in a Tagine) which was ok - while our friends had the Gnocchi and the Sicilain Meatballs. With a couple of wines each and the 2 starters, our total bill came to just shy of $200. Good night out at Osteria del Toro nevertheless.
