Dined at Matterhorn recently and every element of the experience was exceptional. Service staff knowledgeable (especially around wine matching suggestions), food divine (I had the Gorgonzola souffle - not something that I'd usually go for but Oh so glad I did) and atmosphere great. A return visit to Matterhorn is now on the cards - now I just an occasion!
Simply a really great bar that is certainly in the top three for Wellington central - came here quite late when it was a little quieter but the back court yard was a perfect place to wind up the evening. With big tables and alcoves along with stunning decor and interior, Matterhorn is a perfect place to hang out. The staff are attentive and fun and the selection of drinks, including cocktails is very good. Highly recommended and a must go if you're visiting Wellington.
Matterhorn is my favourite Wellington bar (along with everyone else's it seems). Best mojitos in Wellington, cool crew and a laid back atmosphere make Matterhorn one Wellington bar worth visiting on more than one occasion!
good service, nice outdoor area
This has got to be one of my favourite restaurants and bars in town. The food is amazing, service great and the atmosphere is brilliant-especially on a Thursday and Friday night! Highly recommended!
Such a classy venue!! Great ambiance and atmosphere in a place that provides quality drinks. Its an awesome contrasting place in the day time where the double shot espresso's are simply amazing!!
Matterhorn is uber-cool - but that doesn't effect the awesome service that you get at this Wellington institution - really looking forward to my next visit!
