Finally made it to the most prestigious and iconic 'special occasion' restaurant in Wellington. It was worth the wait - the food was exceptional! The starters - tried ceviche and the Burrata/Proscuitto one - were absolutely delicious! For the main tried the venison which just melts in your mouth and for dessert I had the divine Passionfruit Crème Brulee.
Every dish was cooked to perfection and every dish included ingredients that complemented each other perfectly - basically, each dish was a work of art both in terms of taste and in terms of presentation.
Highly recommended for special celebrations.
This is THE place to go for a treat date night in Wellington. We went last year for a celebratory dinner. Our table was on a tiny mezzanine with only about 4 other tables and we had the best seats in the house, looking out over the restaurant - great for people watching :)
The service was impeccable, but I didn't envy our waiters having to transport food and drinks up a narrow, winding staircase!
The food was amazing too. That is all that needs to be said.
Sunday nights you can BYO wine for a $10 charge - which is useful if you want to have a drink but don't want to break the bank in the process!
What a spot! If you can get a meal here make sure it's on him ladies Had an amazing dinner, and wish I was wined and dined here more often. Thanks Dave
Certainly is a little steep on the price, but the setting is amazing and the food & service was perfect.
It's no suprise Logan Brown gets all the wraps - I've only been 3 times in the 6 years I've been living in Wellington but can't think of a better overall experience. I went three weeks ago and had the venison as a main and paua ravioli - we also had a bottle of Trinity Hills Gimblett that was perfect for the meal.
A reasonably hefty price tag but afterall, you are dining at one of New Zealand's best restaurants without question.
