My first visit to Graze was a memorable experience for all the right reasons. At a time when many restaurants are struggling in these challenging economic times, the Wednesday night my family dined at Graze the atmosphere was vibrant, and the restaurant quickly filled to capacity (I am sure this is partly due to their Wednesday deal - 2 for 1 mains).

The service we received was faultless, the food was delicious (and huge portions), and the Chef came over and spoke to me about my options as I have food allergies. Our children were given pencils and activity sheets which kept them busy until our dinners arrived! Thankfully the children's meals are presented in a box that makes taking leftovers home convenient (and my boys were very full after eating just half of their meals).

I wasn't familiar with a few of the the sauvignon blanc options on the wine menu, so I asked the Manager for his recommendation which was the perfect choice. There was a good selection of wines to choose from and it was refreshing to see good quality, but not the "usual" wines included.

The actual interior of Graze hasn't really changed since its "Carvery" days, however this didn't detract from an enjoyable experience.
My only suggestion would be that the "no adults club" area is really geared to pre-school children and it would be great if it appealed to children a bit older so that parents with children of all ages an relax.

I would have to say after our dining experience that this would have to be at the top of my "must return to" restaurants list in the Upper Hutt area at this time.
