This place is a stellar eating restaurant. They have divine food and the flavours are just amazing. My all time favourite is the pork belly and prawns and just as equally tasteful is the Angus Beef. For starters you can never go past the tuna or the soft shell crabs. You wont believe this but my partner and I make a special trip to Wellington from Whakatane just to dine here. Amazing absolutely amazing menu and fabulous service will have you coming back again and again.
My partner surprised me with a trip to Dragonfly the other night after I'd been going on about checking the Courtenay Place restaurant out for ages.
It's a really cool spot - beautiful decor inside but I really liked the courtyard space and on a calm Wellington night, it was the place to be.
The food is great for sharing, and so there's no food envy, well advised. The stand out dishes that I tasted were the Green Papaya Salad (quite difficult to get this done well in NZ) and the Red Duck Curry - yummo!
Dragonfly is slightly more expensive than a lot of the other asian eateries, but already is one of the best asian eateries going around in Wellington...recommended highly!
