Cafe Istanbul appears to be quite a popular eatery with the local crowd. The place does offer an interesting atmosphere, but the food was alright, nothing to rave about.

There was a belly dancer entertaining diners on the night I went, on Thursday.

It's great for big groups but can get quite noisy.

Service was average. Nothing that I can complain about or compliment them on.

Overall, an alright experience. Although, it would be great if they could clean up their toilets.

Bring your friends here! This place is great for groups of people, with a warm, dark atmosphere, middle-eastern music and the talented belly dancers gyrating their way around the tables. The food is generous and the service friendly. Usually very busy in the weekends!

Nice place for a big group (and its BYO!). Meals are reasonably priced and you certainly get a good feed. Have to say when I was there last week the service was not the friendliest and it felt like the waitress did not want to be there at all. I ordered the fish which I have had before and really loved. This time the fish did not seem as fresh and was a tad overcooked but still enjoyed it overall.
