Some friends of ours who live in Wellington recommended this restaurant when we visited from the UK. I must say its up there with one of the best meals we have ever had out.

OK it took a while to get a table, but it was great to sit at the bar and take in the friendly atmosphere, and the meal was so well worth waiting for.

Loved it that much we have decided to move to Wellington!

Consistently Great - The most delicious meals in a timeless setting. Hard to go past the fillet Bearnaise, or lamb shank with a glass of good pinot noir.

I have been here a handful of times and it never disappoints, especially if bringing out-of-towners or family as it has a sense of occasion but a relaxed atmosphere.

what a treat! Dined at Boulcott Street Bistro mid week with some visiting friends from Australia. Had the grilled polenta for my main - delicious. Not a huge variety for vegos but what there is, it's done well.
To cap it off - had the orange and walnut cake...salivating just thinking about it. A few more visits to Boulcott Street Bistro are on the cards I think!

The food at Boucott St Bistro is certainly a treat. Love the location and ambiance. I find it a pity that they don't take bookings - went there with a friend for their birthday this week and it became a bit of a nightmare. Turned up about 8pm and was told that a table would be about 30mins away. We didn't mind waiting as that was the plan and we though it was worth it. However, it took over an hour to be seated and finally received our meal about 10pm. I would definitely have preferred an accurate estimate of time so we could have gone elsewhere if it was so busy. Put a bit of a dampener on the night but would probably go again soon (although maybe try a quieter day??)

An exceptional dining experience! My partner and I went to Boulcott Street Bistro this week to celebrate our 7th Wedding Anniversary and must say that we couldn't have made a better choice if we tried.
Well worth it's ranking as one of Wellington's best restaurants.
