This is an amazing place - yummy food, African beer and friendly wait staff (and their friends). The menu was simple but the food was not. no bookings can be made before 8pm on a weekend night, but we turned up at 8pm for 7 person meal and they squeezed us in - much to our delight!!

I will be bacK!

I always like to try new cuisines and restaurants. Afrika is a busy little place with lovely staff, mood lighting and lots of colourful items to look at on the walls. I went for the somewhat safe vegetarian dish and my friend the goat curry. I also enjoy trying soft drinks from around the world and the african cola was yum and came in a cool bottle. Certainly worth a visit!

Cosy little place. Loved the food and great value for money as well.
I tried the goat curry - spicy and delicious and my friend had the lamb chops which were also quite good.

Probably, not the restaraunt for a long and relaxed Friday dinner after a tough week but for a quick meal and a few beers this is just the place. And speaking of beer, a selection of African beers is available.

I noted quite a few were of Namibian origin. Having traveled around a few countries in that particular part of Africa, this place has triggered memories of being in the heat in the bush or the beautiful sands of Namibia somewhere which is always nice in the cold wet Wellingtonian winters. Friendly staff and loud music just add to an authentic African experience.
