More pub grub than a la carte, the Tasting Room is a regular haunt especially if catching up with friends prior to a movie at the embassy. We will often grab the tasting platter and the chunky fries which allow a bit of room for ice cream at the flicks.
I have been there for more substantial meals too. The herb crusted salmon is a good choice and probably not what you'd expect at this sort of venue.
Naturally the drink selection is good too. Recommended
This is one of my favourite haunts. My friend is just in love with the spicy cheese fondue so we had that for the entree to share, then a tasting platter which is usually pretty good. To end, we both ordered the Chocolate Fondant, it's pretty tasty. I look forward to when they change to the summer menu and I'll see that Chocolate Fondant next year!
The Tasting Room is a perfect place to be on a warm (non windy) summer day after work - be in quick to get a seat outside though!
Have been to the Tasting Room on two occasions and the service is fabulous very friendly and take the time and effort to go through the menu recommending highlights. Had the tapas mixed dish which was just amazing in the variety, presentation and value for money. Have been back since the initial visit and still impressed. The Tasting Room has a great atmosphere too...
Good time bar - definately right up there in terms of a good atmosphere and good range of drinks - The Tasting Rooms probably my favourite Courtenay Place bar.
