I spent a weekend in Wellington with two mates and found Ponderosa. The staff were really friendly and the DJ banged out some great popular dance tracks. We loved it so much that we went back again the next night. I would recommend Ponderosa to anyone that's heading out in a small group that is looking for a +25 yr old sophisticated crowd. Be warned like most of Wellington this place doesn't start warming up until at least 11PM on the weekends.

One of my favourite Wellington bars, Ponderosa is a western-themed cocktail bar in Blair Street. Don't let the 'western' bit fool you - Ponderosa is still sophisticated and continually attracts a good Wellington crowd....Ponderosa is one of those bars that people rave about and for good reason.

Headed to Ponderosa last night and had a TOP time having sampled a few too many from their cocktail list!
