Brewery Bar & Restaurant Information

You’ll find Mac’s Brewery Bar at the start of Taranaki St on Wellington’s waterfront, a stone’s throw from Te Papa and sharing a building with the Mac’s Brewery itself. For years now we’ve been matching that beer with fine food, functioning the year round as a meeting place of great minds and well-honed palates. Pull up a stool, ponder the menu and (while keeping one eye on the rugby possibly) order a glass of one of Mac’s award-winning brews.

Macs is the perfect place year-round to meet friends for a drink. It's central to everyone, cosy inside in Winter and uoi can sit outside in the sun and enjoy the harbour view in Winter. You can't go wrong with Macs beers on tap, decent house wine and hefty platters to share. Also a great location to hold an event or conference upstairs. Thr staff take care of everything. And make it super easy.

Wellington is known as the Harbour City for a very obvious reason. It's the lifeblood of the town, but it's also one of the best places in the entire city to sit back and enjoy just how beautiful the place is. The view over the harbour is a great one, and there's nothing more pleasant on a sunny afternoon than to watch people promenade along the clean and attractive harbour walk.

The Brewery Bar & Restaurant is well placed then to revel in this fine atmosphere. There are few things more enjoyable than taking taking a break in the ample outdoor seating and sipping on a Mac's from the tap as you watch the world go by. Or, if it's a bit too cold or windy, there is more than enough room inside, complete with wonderfully kitsch decor (the upside-down lamps stuck to the ceiling are a particular favourite), soft leather sofas in front of a fire, and a great menu that will fill any belly.
